About Conception:
Choreograph your own path.
Reimagined as a hybrid program, Conception now guides dancers through an immersive process that begins online and culminates in an intimate in-person retreat and filming experience in Joshua Tree.
During the online sessions, dancers will share their works-in-progress and receive structured feedback to help shape a strong outline for their piece. By the time we gather in person, you’ll arrive with a clear foundation—ready to refine, expand, and bring your choreography to life on camera.
With space for only 6 dancers, this retreat offers a uniquely supportive and personalized environment.

Program Schedule

Online Classes (via Zoom):: Sunday September 20th & Sunday October 25th, 2026 9:00am–12:00pm PST
Classes are recorded if you cannot make it live. -
In-Person Retreat:: Thursday November 5th to Sunday November 8th, 2026

• Filming Days: Saturday & Sunday.
Professional Filming in 4K
Kami will personally film your piece in stunning 4K quality, guiding you through the process with direction and support to ensure your choreography is captured at its best.
Dancers will receive all of their footage, with optional editing services available.
Pricing and Room Options:
Includes both online sessions, 4 days / 3 nights stay in Yucca Valley,
and filming of your piece.

A $300 deposit secures your spot. Payment options and additional details will be provided upon registration.

Spacious primary bedroom with sunrise views of 5 acres of Joshua Trees, and French doors out to patio. Luxurious private en-suite invites you to relax with a freestanding tub and walk-in dual-head rain shower.

About the house:
We will be staying on a secluded, 5-acre wellness oasis immersed in the unfiltered beauty of the desert (just 7 minutes to Joshua Tree and 14 minutes to Yucca Valley), featuring:

Food! Is there a food plan?
Because this is such a small and intimate retreat there is no set food plan. We can plan group meal so or go out to town for meals. You are welcome to bring food and cook for yourself and store perishables in the refrigerator.
What's the refund policy?
All sales are final and not transferable to another course. While there are no refunds on tuition, it is possible to transfer your spot to another dancer.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
If you are not able to attend you may sell your spot to another student. Selling or transferring your spot is your responsibility. To sell your spot, please first email krysalisdance@gmail.com. If there is a waitlist, you will be connected with the first student on the waitlist to manage payment* for the spot together. If there is no waitlist, you may seek out other students to purchase your spot. Once the spot has been purchased, please send an email confirming you have received the payment and are officially transferring your spot to krysalisdance@gmail.com, ccing the new student. All accommodations will be made for transfers up to 10 days before the first day of the course.
*Note: Transfer payments are the responsibility of the student selling their spot.
